Please download and submit your volunteer application via email, fax or mail. Carla Fortenberry, Volunteer Coordinator, will contact you once your application is processed.

Teens: Our minimum age for volunteering is 13, and those between 13 and 17 years old must volunteer with a parent or guardian. Please submit your applications together. Volunteer Youth Application

Community service for teens is often a requirement for school and it’s a great way for students to build their resumes and skill sets.  More important, volunteer work for children can be a life-changing experience, one that allows them to expand their horizons and instill the importance of helping their fellow man. You must be in the age range from 6th grade to 12th grade and require school volunteer hours.

Adult Volunteering: Our services are year-round, and so are our volunteer needs. Volunteer Application Adult

Group, Holiday & One-Time/Event Volunteering: We appreciate that you want to help! We may need your help during special events around Loudoun County. Groups often provide a stipend to LHR for team-building volunteer days. Please contact Carla Fortenberry at to discuss options and opportunities. She will do her best to be back to you within one business week.
You can also support LHR in other ways, by holding a food drive, a grocery gift card drive, or even donating on a regular basis. We are grateful for your support!

What Do I Do Next?

After completing a Volunteer Application, please submit by email, fax or mail. Once we match your talents with our needs, we will call to schedule an interview.

We have a thriving volunteer program. Many of our shifts are filled; so we may not be able to schedule you right away, but please do complete and return our application.  We keep all the applications on file.  We try to contact everyone that applys as soon as we can – it may take up to 2 weeks to get back to you since we receive so many applications.
